Kiril Avramov | Disinformation Expert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Slavic and Eurasian Studies and Co-Director of the Global (Dis)Information Lab, an interdisciplinary research group focused on gaining a deeper understanding of national and regional contexts in which disinformation is generated, harvested, circulated and weaponized.

He has worked on multiple projects with specific defense dimensions. These include identifying rhetorical devices in natural language models in collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories and other UT researchers to investigate if disinformation sites can be directly identified from a group of misinformation and neutral sites through a combination of SEO signals.
