Events
Our office coordinates events and opportunities for main campus researchers to engage with the national security ecosystem. We help the UT community build relationships to develop innovative research and offer best practices for Department of Defense visits.
For more information about upcoming events please contact Owen Wright.
UT Austin National Security Career Fair
The 5th annual UT Austin National Security Career Fair is open to all UT students who are interested in the national security and intelligence enterprise. This opportunity to meet with federal, state, and private employers is cosponsored by the Strauss-Clements Intelligence Studies Project, the Strauss Center for International Security and Law, and the Clements Center for National Security, in partnership with Texas Career Engagement and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Air, Space & Cyber Conference
Gain new insights and skills to expand your research at the nation's premier event for defense and aerospace professionals, the Air, Space and Cyber Conference (ASC). This annual conference brings together U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force senior leaders and experts from government, industry, and academia. From speakers and panels focused on airpower, space, and cyber developments to the technology exposition featuring the latest technology, the conference is an opportunity to shape new research and make funding contacts. Please contact research development officer Will Flanagan with questions.
Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Expo
This event is an opportunity for UT researchers to explore cutting-edge technology, engage with the defense ecosystem and shape research ideas. This year’s annual meeting focuses on Army transformation. Please contact research development officer Chris Hossfeld if you wish to attend.
Human-Machine Integration Summit
Army Futures Command is hosting a human-machine integrated formations summit at the Texas A&M George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex. This is an opportunity to learn how the Army incorporates HMI capabilities, and to explore how partners can fill gaps, and accelerate and reduce costs in prototype development. Watch as experts demonstrate solutions for human-machine integrated formations to industry and academia, and discuss current standards and interfaces for hardware and software. Please RVSP or contact research development officer Chris Hossfeld if you wish to attend.
Army Technical Exchange Meeting
Each year the Army’s Program Executive Office C3T (PEOC3T) and Network-Cross Functional Team organize two Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to bring together subject matter experts, sponsors and stakeholders to share information about technology spaces important to the Army. Faculty are invited to submit short proposals to develop technical topic panels and/or attend. The academic track is a new feature of these meetings which usually have 800-1,000 attendees, a large number of potential stakeholders who could see your research and become part of your network.
Please contact Chris Hossfeld with questions or for more information including a list of topics.
