Human-Machine Integration Summit
Army Futures Command is hosting a human-machine integrated formations summit at the Texas A&M George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex. This is an opportunity to learn how the Army incorporates HMI capabilities, and to explore how partners can fill gaps, and accelerate and reduce costs in prototype development. DARPA 101 Luncheon: How to Position Yourself for Sponsorship
UT Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics and Defense Research Advancement are inviting researchers to meet with Dr. Susan Swithenbank, Program Manager in the Defense Science Office (DSO) at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). She will discuss the structure of DARPA, different types of programs within the organization and funding opportunities as well as strategies for talking to a DARPA program manager and how to present your ideas so that you can be heard. UT Internal Research Funds Showcase
The Vice President for Research, Scholarship and Creative Endeavors is hosting this event for campus units to present grants and funding opportunities offered to UT researchers and scholars in various disciplines. The session will also address how internal funds could be leveraged to reach broader research goals, including positioning research to acquire external funding. Defense Research Advancement will share our Creating Connections for National Security Research grant which awards up to $75K for one year for promising research applicable to national security. UT Austin National Security Career Fair
The 5th annual UT Austin National Security Career Fair is open to all UT students who are interested in the national security and intelligence enterprise. This opportunity to meet with federal, state, and private employers is cosponsored by the Strauss-Clements Intelligence Studies Project, the Strauss Center for International Security and Law, and the Clements Center for National Security, in partnership with Texas Career Engagement and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
2024 Military Health System Research Symposium (MHSRS)
The MHSRS is the Department of Defense’s premier military and civilian meeting that focuses specifically on the unique medical needs of servicemembers. It provides a collaborative setting for the exchange of information between military providers with deployment experience, research and academic scientists, international partners, and industry on research and related health care initiatives. UT researchers can attend and/or submit abstracts.
